Fans have been waiting a year to watch Britain's Got Talent after the show was postponed due to the pandemic. The 2022 auditions are in full swing, with the sixth show of the fifteenth series airing tonight (May 21).

Ant and Dec are back hosting, and the judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden are celebrating their tenth year together as a panel. Alesha Dixon and David Walliams joined the panel in 2012, while Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden have been on the show since it first aired on TV way back in 2007. Their fellow judge at the time was Piers Morgan, who left the panel in March last year.

Incredible photos show how much the original trio have changed since the first ever episode of BGT. Amanda has brunette hair - but Simon's teeth are just as white!

The first series of the now extraordinarily popular talent show was broadcast in 2007

The first series of the now extraordinarily popular talent show was broadcast on ITV, from June 9 to June 17, 2007. It was commissioned following the success of the first season of America's Got Talent. Former mobile phone salesman and opera singer Paul Potts took the UK by storm and was crowned winner of the first series.

All of the judges have chosen their Golden Buzzer acts this year, which sends the act straight through to the semi-finals, apart from Alesha Dixon. The live semi finals will take place over five consecutive nights from Monday (May 30) at 8pm, when the nation votes for the finalists. Then, the top ten acts will once again face off to be crowned Britain's Got Talent 2022 champion at the beginning of June.

The winner of the 14th series crowned back in June 2020 was comedy pianist Jon Courtney who beat sign language choir Sign Along With Us - but the 2022 crown is still very much of for grabs.
