POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — The Cowboy Junkies will perform at the Baradvon 1869 Opera House on Friday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m.

In 1988, Cowboy Junkies released their debut album, “The Trinity Session.” The album “stood out in the midst of the flash and bombast that came to define the late 80’s,” a Bardavon news release said. The now classic recording combined folk, blues and rock and went on to sell more than a million copies.

Formed in Toronto in 1985 with siblings Michael Timmins on guitar, Margo Timmins on vocals, Peter Timmins on drums, and Alan Anton on bass, the band has sparkled over the course of 29 albums, the Bardavon said in an announcement, adding that unlike most long-lasting groups, Cowboy Junkies have never had a breakup or taken a hiatus.

Cowboy Junkies’ will be performing a career-spanning show, including their new album, “Such Ferocious Beauty,” which was released on June 2, 2023.

Bardavon member ticket presale will be held on Thursday, May 15, starting at 10 a.m. The public sale will start on Friday, May 16, at 10 a.m.

Tickets are $39, $49,  and $59.
