Representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in the international conference TIMUN 2025, the "Tashkent International Model United Nations." One of the largest Model UN conferences in Central Asia was organized by the Westminster International University in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from May 23 to 25.

Turkmenistan was represented at the conference by Nurmyrat Azadov, a student of the Faculty of International Law; Atajan Orazlyev and Mekan Azadov, students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations; and Durli Ballyeva, senior lecturer of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law.

The conference brought together more than 400 young representatives from around the world to study the Model UN, develop diplomatic and leadership skills, and promote issues of justice.

TIMUN is not only a popular way to study the United Nations but also a platform for discussing and solving global problems. It allows participants to take on various roles, engage in negotiations, develop public speaking and leadership skills, and gain a deeper understanding of current world issues.

This year, the conference again became a place for youth exchange of opinions, thematic discussions, and exploration of global challenges. During the event, a presentation was given on modeling the work of a UN committee, developing skills for thoughtful and consultative discussions, and discussing and making important decisions.

The conference facilitated an in-depth study of current international and regional issues, providing young people with the opportunity to develop their diplomatic skills, the ability to conduct negotiations competently and effectively, and to build and maintain constructive dialogue in international relations.

"Together for the Future, Together with Youth" — this is the motto of TIMUN 2025, which once again emphasized the important role of youth in building global peace and ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future.
