Now, the Galloping Ghosts have to do it one more time.
Undefeated Kaukauna (26-0) takes on once-beaten Kenosha Bradford (29-1) for the Division 1 championship in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State tournaments at the Goodman Diamond on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.

- Kaukauna claims its sixth state title in program history as Karly Meredith throws a five-hit shutout. She also scored the game's lone run on the Galloping Ghosts' lone hit, an RBI double from Lily Boyle. Bradford pitcher Brooklynn Danielson gave up one hit and struck out 18 batters, but it wasn't enough for the Red Devils.
SEVENTH INNING
- KAUKAUNA WINS STATE. Ground ball to second baseman Chloe Herzfeldt, who throws it over to first baseman Jozy Ebben for the final out. Karly Meredith wins a pitcher's duel with Brooklynn Danielson, and Kaukauna finishes off a perfect season by claiming the Division 1 state championship. (Kaukauna, 1-0 | F)
- DOUBLE PLAY KAUKAUNA. Wow, what a play by pitcher Karly Meredith. She snags a line drive with her glove just barely above the ground for the first out; then fires to second base to double off the runner. Kaukauna one out away from a title.
