Turquoise waters, towering cliffs and shallow beaches might sound like something you'd find on a Mediterranean vacation, but this little Ontario town offers all this and more.

Surrounded by bright blue waters, this destination is a mini summer paradise with endless natural wonders.

Lion's Head is a quiet little town nestled in a "secret nook" along the majestic Bruce Peninsula.

According to the Bruce Peninsula website, "the scenery is nothing less than stunning." You can gaze at the towering limestone cliffs that "rise from the turquoise Caribbean- coloured waters" and "have an amazing pink aura" at sunrise and sunset.

One of the top things to do in the area is explore Lion's Head Provincial Park — a stunning nature reserve complete with unique geological features and towering views of the turquoise waters below.

You can also check out some of the beaches in the town and surrounding area, such as Lion's Head Beach or Singing Sands Beach, located about 30 minutes away.

The town of Lion's Head is small but quaint and has several local shops and eateries to enjoy.

Other spots to visit in the region include Lion's Head Lighthouse, Greig's Caves and Devil's Monument Loop Trail.

The area can get busy in the summer, so be sure to make reservations for restaurants in advance.

With crystal-clear waters, turquoise waves and coastal charm, Lion's Head is a peaceful summer escape with breathtaking views.
