This is the inspirational moment that an opera singer with cerebral palsy brings the house down with a spine-tingling performance.

Alfina Fresta showed off her incredible voice in a performance at the Church of Sant’Angelo in Catania, Italy.

The 28-year-old suffers from spastic dystonic tetraparesis, meaning her limbs can suddenly spasm and twist.

But she has been able to show off her talent thanks to the Neon Cultural Association, which works with disabled people.

Alfina had to be held up by Stefania Licciardello, the president of the association, throughout the four-minute performance.

The singer told Ability TV: ‘I cried with my mother. I did not expect all this great love.

‘I only did what I do best and that makes me happier.

‘The music makes me feel alive!’

Footage of her performance has been viewed millions of times.

Speaking to Citta Nuova, her mother Antonella praised Alfina’s mental strength, saying her daughter had comforted her when operations did not go to plan.
